Beef Tallow Chocolate Crunch Bar Recipe
Step 1: Dehydrate the Ground Beef
- Cook 1 pound of ground beef thoroughly.
- Drain the liquid and press out as much fat as possible.
- Spread the cooked ground beef evenly on a sheet pan.
- Bake at 200°F (93°C) for about 2 and 1/2 hours.
- Every 30 minutes, take it out and move the beef around to ensure even dehydration.
Step 2: Prepare the Chocolate Tallow Mixture
- Heat 1 cup of beef tallow in a saucepan until it becomes liquid.
- Add 4 to 6 teaspoons of unsweetened cacao.
- Add 4 to 6 teaspoons of a keto-friendly sweetener (such as swerve).
- Stir the mixture well.
- Optionally, add cayenne and salt to taste.
Step 3: Assemble the Crunch Bars
- Line a half sheet pan with parchment paper.
- Spread the dehydrated beef evenly on the parchment paper.
- Pour the chocolate tallow mixture over the beef.
Step 4: Set and Serve
- Place the sheet pan in the fridge and let it solidify overnight.
- Once solid, remove from the fridge and cut into pieces.
