Dough

250g flour
Salt
Oil
1/2 teaspoon sugar
Water

Firni

1.5 liters milk
100g powdered milk
Sugar
Cardamom
Cinnamon
Bay leaf
1.5 tablespoons flour

Pasos

Preparation of Luchi

Step 1: Make the dough [00:18]

In a bowl, combine 250g of flour, a pinch of salt, and a dash of oil. Mix well. Add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. Gradually add water and knead to form a dough. Let it rest for 30 minutes.

Step 2: Shape and fry the luchi [03:06]

Divide the dough into smaller balls (lechi). On a flat surface, roll out each ball into a circular shape. Heat oil in a pan and fry the rolled dough until puffed and golden. Be careful not to let them get too dark.

Preparation of Firni

Step 3: Cook the base [01:13]

In a pot, bring 1.5 liters of milk to a boil. Add cardamom, cinnamon, and bay leaves for flavor.

Step 4: Add powdered milk and sugar [01:40]

In a separate bowl, dissolve 100g of powdered milk in a little warm milk. Add this mixture to the boiling milk. Stir in sugar to taste.

Step 5: Thicken the mixture [02:27]

In a small bowl, mix 1.5 tablespoons of flour with a little warm milk to create a smooth paste. Add this paste to the boiling mixture, stirring continuously until the Firni thickens to the desired consistency. Serve warm with the fried luchi.
