Cooking steps
Cauliflower Recipe
Step 1:
- Heat a pan on medium high heat and add the cauliflower florets before the oil gets too hot.
Step 2:
- Fry the cauliflower florets until they start to brown at the edges.
Step 3:
- Add sliced red onions (or yellow onions) and stir.
Step 4:
- Optionally, add chopped garlic along with the onions.
Step 5:
- Keep stirring until the onions wilt down and become pale in color.
Step 6:
- Add seasonings:
- 1 teaspoon of freshly crushed black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon of kashmiri red chilli powder (or paprika)
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste (or substitute with tomato sauce or puree)
- Optional: a little bit of sugar.
Step 7:
- Cover the pan and cook on low heat for 5 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally to check the tenderness of the cauliflower.
Step 8:
- At the end, add 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala powder (optional).
Step 9:
- Garnish with coriander leaves before serving.
