Cooking steps
Lentil Vegetable Fritters
Step 1: Rinse and Soak Lentils
Rinse 200g of red lentils thoroughly under running water and soak them in cold water for 20 minutes.
Step 2: Prepare Vegetables
Chop 1 leek, 1 onion, 1 sweet potato, 1 carrot, and 3 cloves of garlic.
Step 3: Fry Vegetables
In a pan, heat a little olive oil over medium heat and fry the chopped vegetables for about 10 minutes until they are soft.
Step 4: Add Spices
Mix in 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 1 teaspoon of caraway, 1 teaspoon of garam masala powder, and 2 teaspoons of salt.
Step 5: Combine Ingredients
Add the soaked lentils, a handful of chopped parsley, 50g of breadcrumbs, and 2 teaspoons of baking soda to the pan.
Step 6: Fry Fritters
Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the mixture until golden brown on both sides.
