ReciMe Alternatives: Apps to Save Recipes from TikTok and Instagram

Updated · by MealClip

Short answer

ReciMe is a recipe organiser whose free plan allows 5 imports a week and whose help center says TikTok imports start from the caption and then the audio. The best alternative depends on why you are leaving: for recipes that are only in the video, with nothing to install, MealClip ($2.99 a month, web) or Clip Recipe ($3.95 a month, web); for a recipe box app with a bigger free plan, CookBook (20 recipes free) or Flavorish (unlimited website imports, 5 social imports).

Why people look for a ReciMe alternative

The weekly cap. The free version is limited to 5 recipe imports per week, which runs out fast if you clear a saved folder full of Reels.

The price is not on its website. ReciMe does not publish its prices on its site; the US App Store lists ReciMe Plus purchases from $29.99 to $59.99.

Recipes that are only in the video. ReciMe's help center says TikTok imports use the caption first, then the video's audio; it does not mention on-screen text, which is where many music-only recipes put their ingredients.

You only want the recipe, not another app. ReciMe is a full organiser with meal plans and grocery lists; if you just want the recipe out of a video, a web converter is quicker.

MealClip

A converter, not an organiser: paste a TikTok, Instagram Reel or YouTube link and get the ingredients and numbered steps. It reads the narration, the on-screen text and the caption, never makes up quantities, and writes the recipe in Spanish when the video is in Spanish. Recipes are kept in My Recipes, with favorites, folders and a print view.
