Cooking steps

Preparation of Chopped Cheese Wraps

1. Garlic Mayo Sauce [00:10]

In a small bowl, combine 200g (7 oz) mayonnaise with 1 minced garlic clove, the juice of 1/4 lemon, a pinch of salt, and a few cracks of black pepper. Mix well and store in the fridge.

2. Vegetable Prep [00:52]

Finely dice the onions. Slice the tomatoes into thin rounds. Wash and shred the lettuce.

3. Cooking the Meat [01:32]

Heat a large pan over high heat and add a small amount of oil spray. Add 900g (1.9 lbs) of beef mince and spread it out. Season with salt, pepper, 2 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp ground coriander, 1 tsp smoked paprika, and 1/2 tsp dried oregano. Cook for a few minutes until a crust forms, then break up the meat. Add the diced onions and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

4. Melting the Cheese [03:00]

Add 140g (4.9 oz) of torn American cheddar cheese to the pan. Cover with a lid and reduce heat to medium-low, allowing the cheese to melt for about 1 minute. Once melted, stir everything together.

5. Assembly [03:42]

Spread a spoonful of the garlic mayo onto each tortilla. Distribute the beef mixture, followed by slices of tomato, a pinch of salt, and a portion of shredded lettuce. Fold in the sides and roll tightly. Repeat for all 5 wraps.
