How to shell a cooked lobster

Step 1: Remove the tail [00:00]

While the lobster is still warm, hold the tail firmly and crack the top of the shell. Pull the shell apart and peel it off to remove the meat.

Step 2: Remove the claws [00:32]

Snap off the knuckle of the claw. Remove the other part of the claw and remove the blade. Drain any excess water from the claw. Use a knife to cut and twist both sides of the claw shell to release the meat inside.

Step 3: Remove the knuckles [01:01]

Separate the knuckle into two pieces. Use kitchen scissors to slice through both sides of the knuckle shell. Open it up and slide the meat out.
