Fruit

6 ripe peaches (900 grams)

Dairy

7 tbsp (100 grams) unsalted butter
3/4 cup (180 mL) whole milk

Pantry

1/4 cup (55 grams) packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup + 3/4 cup (50 grams + 150 grams) granulated sugar
1 cup (120 grams) all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt

Cooking steps

Easy Peach Cobbler

Step 1: Preheat oven and prepare butter [00:06]

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place 7 tbsp (100 grams) of butter into a 9x13 inch baking dish and put it in the oven until melted, about 5 minutes. Once melted, set aside.

Step 2: Prepare peaches [00:31]

Slice 6 ripe peaches (900 grams) into thin wedges (under half an inch). Add them to a large skillet over medium heat with 1/4 cup (55 grams) of packed light brown sugar and 1/4 cup (50 grams) of granulated sugar. Cook until the sugar is melted and blended with the peach juices, then remove from heat.

Step 3: Mix the batter [03:37]

In a large bowl, whisk together 1 cup (120 grams) of all-purpose flour, 3/4 cup (150 grams) of granulated sugar, 2 tsp of baking powder, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp of salt. Pour in 3/4 cup (180 mL) of whole milk and mix with a spatula until just combined.

Step 4: Assemble [05:13]

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish with the melted butter. Do not mix. Carefully spread the peach mixture with its juices over the batter, leaving some gaps for the batter to rise.

Step 5: Bake [06:09]

Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the batter is cooked and springs back when pressed lightly. Let cool slightly and serve.
