Is ReciMe Free? ReciMe Price, Free Version and Plus
Updated · by MealClip
Short answer
Yes, ReciMe has a free version: you can import up to 5 recipes a week and use its grocery lists, meal plans and cookbooks at no cost. Unlimited imports and extras such as the nutrition calculator, the measurement converter and printing need ReciMe Plus, which its help center prices at $39.99 a year in the United States, with a 7-day free trial.
ReciMe does not publish its monthly price, and prices change by country: the exact amount appears in the app when you tap Subscribe.
What the free version of ReciMe includes
From ReciMe's help center ("Is there a free version of the app?", updated August 9, 2026), checked on October 29, 2026.
Up to 5 recipe imports a week.
The core features: smart grocery lists, meal plans, cookbooks and grocery checkout.
Recipes you import during a Plus trial stay saved if you go back to the free version.
How much ReciMe Plus costs
ReciMe's help center says the price depends on the plan and on your country or region, and gives one example: $39.99 a year in the United States. You see it in your local currency on the screen that opens when you tap Subscribe in the app.
Its website and help center do not publish a monthly price, although its Google Play listing says the subscription renews each month or year, at the price shown on the payment screen. The US App Store lists several ReciMe Plus purchases between $29.99 and $59.99 without saying which period each one covers, so offers and older plans may differ from the $39.99 yearly price.
There is a 7-day free trial of ReciMe Plus.
What ReciMe Plus adds
From ReciMe's help center ("What are the benefits of ReciMe Plus?", updated August 16, 2026).
Unlimited recipe imports from Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and more.
Scanning recipes from cookbooks and handwritten notes, and pasting whole recipe blocks.
A nutrition calculator and a metric/imperial measurement converter.
Cooking Mode with step-by-step guidance, and Ask ReciMe, an AI assistant for questions while you cook.
Exporting recipes to PDF and printing them.
Is ReciMe worth it?
If you want a recipe box on your phone with meal plans and grocery lists, the free version already covers a lot, and the app is well rated: 4.8 from about 323,000 ratings on the US App Store (October 29, 2026).
Plus mostly makes sense if you save more than 5 recipes a week or want the nutrition calculator, unit conversion and printing.
If what you really want is the recipe out of a TikTok, Reel or YouTube video, check how the app reads the video. ReciMe's help center says TikTok imports start from the caption and then the audio, and does not mention on-screen text, where many music-only recipes put their ingredients. MealClip reads the narration, the on-screen text and the caption, runs in the browser and costs $19.99 a year, about half of ReciMe Plus in the US, but it has no free plan and no meal planner or grocery list.

MealClip
A converter, not an organiser: paste a TikTok, Instagram Reel or YouTube link and get the ingredients and numbered steps. It reads the narration, the on-screen text and the caption, never makes up quantities, and writes the recipe in Spanish when the video is in Spanish. Recipes are kept in My Recipes, with favorites, folders and a print view.
