Cooking steps
Apple Pork Chops with Stuffing
Step 1: Prepare the Crockpot
- Start by putting 3 tablespoons of melted butter in the bottom of your crock pot.
Step 2: Prepare the Apples
- Cut 4 apples (2 Fuji and 2 Granny Smith) in half, resulting in 6 slices total.
- Add half of your apples into the bottom of the crock pot.
Step 3: Add Onions
- Dice 1 sweet onion and put it in the crock pot.
Step 4: Add Pork Chops
- Season 4 thick cut boneless pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper to taste.
- Nestle the pork chops right on top of the onions and apples.
Step 5: Layer Remaining Apples
- Add the remaining half of your apples right on top of the pork chops.
Step 6: Mix Sauce
- In a bowl, combine:
- 1 cup of chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon of dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of rosemary
- 1 teaspoon of thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- Whisk this mixture together.
Step 7: Pour Sauce
- Pour the sauce mixture all over the pork chops.
Step 8: Add Stuffing and Green Beans
- Add 1 6oz box of stovetop stuffing (chicken flavor).
- Add 12 oz of fresh green beans on top.
