Easy High Protein Chicken Chow Mein
Step 1: Marinate the Chicken
- Slice 800g boneless skinless chicken breast into thin strips.
- In a bowl, add 20g soy sauce, 1 tbsp hoisin sauce, 1 tbsp minced garlic, 1 tsp white pepper, and 1/2 tsp baking soda. Mix well to coat the chicken. Marinate while making the sauce or longer for more flavor.
Step 2: Prepare the Chow Mein Sauce
- In a separate bowl, mix together 30g dark soy sauce, 15g light soy sauce, 15g oyster sauce, 15g rice vinegar, 10g sweetener, and 1 tsp cornstarch until completely smooth.
Step 3: Cook the Chicken
- Heat a pan with cooking spray on high heat. Cook the marinated chicken in batches until golden brown and juicy. Set aside.
Step 4: Cook the Vegetables
- In the same pan, add 200g sliced white cabbage, 150g sliced carrots, and the white parts of the green onion. Cook until soft.
