Taste Test Procedure

Step 1: Prepare the Tasting Samples [00:05]

Pour a small amount of each olive oil onto separate plates for tasting.

Step 2: Tasting and Evaluating [00:06]

Use a piece of bread to dip into each olive oil to evaluate its flavor profile. Note the following differences:

  • Cheap Olive Oil: Has a very smooth texture but lacks complex flavor notes.
  • Mid-grade Olive Oil: Exhibits more flavor, with a bit more bitterness, and a spicy, peppery sensation at the back of the throat.
  • Expensive Olive Oil: Features bright, floral, and peppery notes with a distinct, pleasant finish.
